Pelican Power Up - Instructors

Pelican Power Up 2016 sees some of Western Australia's top dinghy sailing instructors at SoPYC. Over the three days of training crews will learn how to sail their boats faster and more competitively to give them that extra edge through the sailing season. Our instruction staff include:

Tessa Parkinson

Tessa is probably best known for winning Olympic Gold in the 470 class at the Beijing Olympics in 2008.

Tessa began sailing in Mirrors at FSC aged 7. She has spent most of her career racing 420s, 470s & 49er FXs, and has been coaching for more than 10 years.

Tessa also coached the Australian Team to win two events at the 2011 Youth World Championships and now trains sailors at all levels from juniors in ‘Tackers’ through to keelboat & skiff teams.

Alex is a highly experienced coach, training all levels of sailors from our juniors in ‘Tackers’ through to keelboat and multi-hull crews.
